Bellwood House – Kamo, Northland

Orientated on site to maximise early morning solar gains, the polished concrete floor is heavily insulated to ensure the house retains all this free warmth. The floor slowly dissipates this heat throughout the day. The 270m2 design was simplified to just fourteen concrete panels which enabled all concrete panels to be erected in just one day. The house and landscaping were completed in just under 20 weeks.
